Our Story

HER Wollongong was founded by Joanne Michelle after returning home to Wollongong following more than 30 years living in Sydney and Canberra.

Like many women, Jo knows what it feels like to start a new chapter and realise that making new friendships as an adult isn't always easy.

Jo brings years of experience bringing people together, creating events and supporting women - but HER grew from something much simpler: wanting to create the kind of community she was looking for herself.
